SOMETIMES you can’t help but wonder if human sense and sensibility is slowly going to the dogs.
That my fellow host countrymen are animal lovers is indisputable. After all, following an amendment in 2002, Paragraph 20 (a) of the German Constitution now puts animals and humans on the same footing in having “the right to be respected by the state and to have their dignity protected.”
