"Love at first sight" is rare or imagined. It normally takes many sightings for love to grow into a lasting relationship – or it may not, and the attraction just fizzles out, and you realise that it's just a mere crush.

The Bear and I have been married for more than 40 years – a classic example of "opposites attract". Yes, one fatal attraction can lead to marriage. Was it loneliness, lust or true love? I don't remember, as it happened so long ago, when we were young, hormone-charged and vulnerable.
