Celebrate Malaysia’s National Day with inspiring track 'We Are One'

As we face the pandemic and various issues that come with it, let’s take a moment to catch our breath and be inspired with a new track titled We Are One.

Released in time with our 64th National Day tomorrow (Aug 31), the number reminds us of Malaysia's spirit and the importance of unity.

It's performed in three languages by 15 local artistes including Iman Troye, Jack Lim, Han Xiiao Aii, Ariff Bahran, Priscilla Abby, Yise Loo, Firdhaus, Juztin Lan, Layla Sania, Pauline Tan, Henley Hii, Jie Ying, Daphne Low, Ztish El Nino dan Nadia Pang.

The company's managing director, Datuk Steven Lim Boon Siong said in a press statement: “The pandemic is challenging for all of us. Only by unity can we get through this difficult period together.

“We Are One represents a message to everyone to work together and be positive in the face of this challenging pandemic.”

Multimedia's effort in distributing food support and daily necessities to local production crew members who are badly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic was what inspired Teng Bee to write the song.

The artiste shared: “When I became a volunteer during Multimedia’s food aid programme to help my peers in the industry, I saw the distress and sadness of what they have to go through.

“This experience spurred me to create We Are One to tell the public that our spirit of unity is our strength.”
