MALAYSIAN actor Hero Tai (pic) prayed for his and his daughter’s lives when a flight they were on encountered engine trouble while in the air, China Press reported.
The 40-year-old was taking his three-year-old daughter Karina on a flight from Taipei to Xiamen, China to visit his father.
It was the first time the two of them travelled abroad without his wife Tatiana Lin.
Just when the plane was approaching its destination, there was an announcement that they were facing an engine problem and had to return to Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan.
“So many images of plane crashes really flashed through my mind,” he said, adding that he prayed hard for their lives.
Fortunately, both father and daughter made it back to Taipei safely.
Tai joked that upon landing, he faced another parenting puzzle – he had packed only two extra diapers for the trip.
It was reported that Tai and Lin, a Ukrainian model, began a relationship in August 2022.
They then got engaged in June 2023 before registering their marriage in Malaysia later in September.
They have two children together.
