Global brand’s KL branch fields satay burger in competition

Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur has thrown its locally developed Satay Burger into the ring of the Hard Rock World Burger Tour competition.

The event will see its cafes from around the world compete to have their creations added to the menu.

The competition encourages local cafe team members to show off their creativity and culinary skills by submitting unique burger recipes that elevate the classic meal.

The burger is the brainchild of Hard Rock Kuala Lumpur’s head chef Mohd Nazri Abdul Wahid.

Inspired by the Malaysian favourite, satay served with peanut sauce, the 38-year-old chef created a burger consisting of a meat steak topped with crispy beef bacon, cheddar cheese, fried egg, fresh lettuce, cucumber, peanut sauce and red onion.

It is served with sides of peanut sauce and seasoned fries.

Available in Kuala Lumpur for a limited time, the popular Satay Burger has the chance to gain a permanent place on the global Hard Rock Cafe burger menu.

“As a global brand, we draw inspiration from the communities, music, entertainment fans and travellers we serve to create truly memorable experiences at each of our locations, from our curated memorabilia collection to our Cafe menus,” said Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International Marketing and Partnerships senior vice-president Elena Alvarez.

“By providing our incredible local team members the platform to share their tastes and creativity in the kitchen, we’re bringing delicious one-of-a-kind burgers from around the world to Hard Rock and burger fans alike so that they can help us pick our World Burger Tour champion.”

Those wanting to show support for their local Hard Rock Cafe can visit www.cafe.hardrock.com

Participating Hard Rock Cafes will host community events and activities to taste their winning burger, meet the culinary talents behind these creations and more.
