Greentec in metal recovery business tie-up

PETALING JAYA: Greentronics Technology Bhd (Greentec) has entered into a joint venture agreement (JVA) with Hong Kong-based Achelous Pure Metal Co Ltd (Achelous HK) and its 60%-owned subsidiary Achelous Greentech Sdn Bhd to undertake the business of metal recovery.

Greentec said the JVA includes recovery from lithium-ion batteries, black mass and other feedstock, as well as the deployment, utilisation, and commercialisation of Achelous HK’s metal recovery technologies and such other related business, as the parties may mutually agree in writing from time to time.

“The board views the JVA positively as it enables the group to combine resources, technical expertise, industry know-how and operational capabilities with its proposed joint venture partner to facilitate the implementation of the JV business in a structured viable manner.”
