KUALA LUMPUR: LAC Med Bhd
’s wholly-owned subsidiary, LAC Medical Supplies Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM78.9mil contract to supply and deliver reagents and related items for chemistry tests to public hospitals in Kedah.
The contract covers 10 hospitals under the Health Ministry and will run from June 15, 2026 to June 14, 2030.
LAC Med, which is involved in the supply and integration of medical devices, said the contract was secured through a letter of award from a healthcare concessionaire to LAC Medical Supplies.
“The project encompasses the supply and delivery of products from a recently onboarded principal on an ‘Instrument Placement’ basis,” it said.
Instrument placement is a business model in which equipment is placed at a healthcare facility, with suppliers providing reagents, test kits and consumables to operate the equipment. — Bernama
