Brunei Crown Prince meets Party Secretary of Shenzhen, China

SHENZEN, (China): His Royal Highness Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah, Brunei's Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, on Thursday (May 14) attended a meeting with Party Secretary of Shenzhen Jin Lei.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness congratulated Jin Lei on his appointment as Party Secretary of Shenzhen and expressed pleasure at visiting Shenzhen for the first time, while conveying appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality extended during the visit.

His Royal Highness also emphasised that Shenzhen’s achievements in technological advancement and innovation serve as an inspiration to Brunei Darussalam’s nation-building efforts.

In this regard, the visits and briefings at Huawei and Leju Robotics would provide valuable knowledge on developments in artificial intelligence, while also opening opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the People’s Republic of China.

His Royal Highness further expressed satisfaction with the close and longstanding relations between Brunei Darussalam and the People’s Republic of China in areas including trade and investment, agriculture, fisheries, and people-to-people exchanges.

The mutual commitment of both countries towards strengthening the Strategic Cooperative Partnership and advancing a Brunei-China community with a shared future was further reaffirmed.

In ending the sabda, His Royal Highness extended wishes for China’s preparations in hosting the upcoming APEC Summit, together with an invitation for Jin Lei to visit Brunei Darussalam.

After the meeting, Jin Lei hosted a luncheon.
