“Following discussions and an agreement with Bahrain, the government is pleased to announce a special Madani Ticket for MyKad holders, priced from as low as RM200 for access throughout the three-day event,” he said in a Facebook post on Saturday (Aug 15).
The three-day Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026 will be held at the Sepang International Circuit from Oct 2 to 4.
Anwar said the initiative was aimed at giving more Malaysians the opportunity to experience Formula 1 racing live in Sepang.
Several weeks ago, he had said the government was considering introducing the special-priced tickets in conjunction with the event.
He said further details on the Madani Ticket would be announced by the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) soon.
