Malaysian rock queen Ella hits 60 in July, and she is going home to Penang to celebrate the milestone

A special press conference was held today at Odeon Kuala Lumpur to announce the upcoming concert Majlis Tertinggi Rockqueen Ella: Homecoming Edisi 60 Permata Biru, which will take place on 25 July 2026 at Penang State Stadium.

This announcement continues the extraordinary success of the previous edition at National Stadium Bukit Jalil, which gathered over 55,000 attendees, further proving Ella’s enduring influence in the local music industry.

The Penang edition carries a more personal dimension, as it is not just another large-scale concert, but also symbolises Ella’s return to her home state. In conjunction with her 60th birthday celebration in July, the concert is expected to be an emotional moment that connects her nearly four-decade-long artistic journey with her roots in the northern region of the country.

This “homecoming” moment is not only significant for Ella herself, but is also highly anticipated by her loyal fans in the region who have long supported her career. At the same time, the concert will mark history as Ella becomes the first artist to hold a solo concert at the stadium, which is also known as “Stadium Batu Kawan.”

More than just a performance and entertainment, Majlis Tertinggi Rockqueen Ella continues to evolve into a platform that delivers a greater message to society. Through the campaign known as Peace. Love. Rindu, the concert invites fans to be part of giving back to the community.

Each ticket holder will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred charitable foundation, among which are Islamic Outreach (ABIM) Penang under Peace, National Welfare Foundation (YKN) under the theme of Love, and Yayasan Kebajikan Artis Tanahair representing Rindu, with RM2 from every ticket sold donated to the selected entity.

This approach reflects the ongoing commitment of both the organisers and the artist to combine entertainment with social responsibility, creating a more meaningful experience for all involved.

In line with the concert’s inclusive aspirations and to reflect the organisers’ commitment to making the experience accessible to fans from all walks of life, ticket prices start as low as RM39. This initiative is further strengthened by early access privileges for previous Level 3 ticket holders of Majlis Tertinggi Rockqueen Kuala Lumpur. As honoured members, they will receive priority access to purchase tickets starting 8 May 2026, along with special discounts for selected categories. General ticket sales will officially begin on 11 May 2026 via www.hitmanlive.com.

According to Rohit Rampal, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Hitman Group, organising this concert is a strategic collaboration with Rockqueen.

“We see Majlis Tertinggi Rockqueen as more than just a concert. It is an experience that unites fans through music, emotion, and meaningful messages. Bringing it to Penang allows us to bring this experience closer to fans in the northern region, while opening opportunities for more people to become part of the ‘Ahli Majlis Tertinggi’,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Ella, whose real name is Nor Zila Aminuddin, described the concert as a reflection of her long artistic journey and a platform to continue sharing the values she believes in.

She stated that celebrating her 60th birthday alongside nearly four decades in the music industry gives deep meaning to the concert, which serves as a medium to continue spreading the message of Peace. Love. Rindu.

Her return to Penang is also described as a deeply personal moment, as it not only brings her back to her roots but also reconnects her with loyal fans who have supported her career since the beginning.
