Malaysia’s Rock Queen, Ella Aminuddin better known as Ella, has revealed that she still has stage fright, even after decades in the music industry, Harian Metro reported.

As preparations gather pace for her “Konsert Majlis Tertinggi Rockqueen Ella: Homecoming Edisi 60 Permata Biru”, the veteran singer admitted she still feels nervous before every performance.

“There is never a time that I’m not afraid. Every single time, I feel nervous.

“The fear pushes me to be more creative. I worry about my performance, my health, the outfits, the make-up and making sure everything comes together as it should,” she said.

Ella said rehearsals are now in the final stages, with vocal preparations about 80% complete as she fine-tunes the remaining details ahead of the show.

The highly anticipated concert will also feature special appearances by two of Malaysia’s biggest music icons, Datuk Ramli Sarip and Ziana Zain.

According to Ella, Ramli’s involvement is particularly meaningful given their long-standing musical relationship.

She said the legendary singer-songwriter played a key role in her early career, writing and composing some of her songs.
