Bandar Seri Begawan airspace restricted on September 6

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) announced a temporary restriction on airspace within a three-nautical-mile (5.56-kilometre) radius over Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in Bandar Seri Begawan on Saturday (Sept 6).

In a statement on Sept 1, the DCA said the restriction is part of additional safety and security measures. Under the directive, unauthorised aircraft, including drones (unmanned aircraft), are not allow to operate in that airspace on the day itself.

The failure to comply with the regulation is considered a contravention of the laws and regulations of Brunei, as outlined in Section 50 of the Civil Aviation Act (CAP 290). - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
