FOR Malaysians working overseas, in countries like Singapore for example, the one thing that they would worry about is getting their hard-earned money back home to their families.
For context, Malaysians account for one of the largest foreign communities in Singapore, as a massive number of Malaysians commute across the Johor-Singapore Causeway and Tuas Second Link daily for work and also school.
During the pandemic, traffic and essential daily commuting came to a standstill due to border closures, leading to many being unable to physically send money home to their families.
That’s where digital remittance services like Singtel Dash Remit comes in, as the service allows users to enjoy safe and easy transferring of money back to their families, without the hassle of bringing it over themselves.
The service also comes with competitive remittance rates and is available to anyone with a Singapore mobile number, registered with any Singapore telecommunications company, and a Singapore government issued ID.
With a flat rate transfer fee of S$2 (RM7), regardless of the remittance amount, Malaysians can enjoy a seamless and transparent fee structure when using the service.
Malaysians can now transfer money overseas at their fingertips by simply downloading the Singtel Dash app and completing a quick self-registration.
Thereafter, users can top up their account, enjoy secured remittance and even track their remittance history from the app.
Fund transfers are also banked-in on the same day, provided that funds are sent before 2pm (SGT) on a Malaysian banking day, or the next Malaysian banking day.
Users are also automatically entitled to a free 30-Day Dash Protect Insurance plan by Great Eastern, with up to S$5,000 (RM16,403) cash payout each time they remit S$100 (RM328) or more in a single transaction (excluding remittance fees), if they have opted in for the coverage at the time of transaction.
New Dash Remit users will be entitled to up to S$10 (RM33) cashback on each of their first two remittances of minimum S$100 (RM328) – excluding fees – until December 31 this year.
In addition, all users who make a remittance in December are automatically enrolled into the Dash Remit 10th anniversary lucky draw, where they stand a chance to be one of the 100 lucky winners of S$500 (RM1,640) travel vouchers, with no minimum transaction requirement.
