KUCHING: Cambodia SEA Games champion Lee Yiat Qing brought joy to Federal Territories by bagging the girls' 3m springboard individual gold medal on the final day of Malaysia Games (Sukma) diving competition at Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre today (Aug 23).

The 16-year-old capped her debut Sukma outing with a comeback win, finishing the five-dive competition with a total of 231.20 points.

Sarawakians Dayang Nursharzyra Awang Nasaruddin and Nur Eilisha Rania settled for silver (228.25) and bronze (225.70) respectively.

It was the first gold in Kuching for Yiat Qing, who also took silver in the girls' platform event on Tuesday. Yiat Qing won the women's 10m platform gold medal at the Cambodia SEA Games last year.

Sarawak, however, finished as overall champions with nine golds.
