Arctic Open champs Aaron-Roy King make smashing start in Denmark Open

PETALING JAYA: Men’s doubles pair Aaron Tai-Yap Roy King carried their good form into the Denmark Open by knocking out South Korea’s Kang Min-hyuk-Lee Jong-min in the first round on Wednesday (Oct 14).

Fresh from winning the Arctic Open in Finland last week, Aaron-Roy King came back from a game down to beat the Koreans 13-21, 21-18, 21-19 in 57 minutes at the SJF Bank Arena in Odense.

The win sets up an all-Malaysian second-round clash against senior pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.
