Badminton: Aaron-Roy King reach Arctic Open final in first outing


PETALING JAYA: Men’s doubles pair Aaron Tai-Yap Roy King are one win away from their first title together after reaching the Arctic Open final, where they face Taiwan’s Lai Po-yu-Tsai Fu-cheng on Sunday (Oct 11).

Aaron-Roy King, playing in their first tournament together following a reshuffle by the national coaching team, have enjoyed a surprise run to the final.

They secured their place after beating Denmark’s world No. 32 Christian Kjaer-Rasmus Kjaer 21-14, 21-16 in the semi-finals at the Energie Arena in Vantaa on Saturday (Oct 10).
