PETALING JAYA: Shuttlers Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik showed their class by powering into the Arctic Open men's doubles final.

Aaron-Wooi Yik secured a commanding 21-15, 21-14 win in just 36 minutes over Thailand's world No. 13 Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Kittinupong Kedren in Finland on Saturday (Oct 11).

Standing in the world No. 2 pair's way to the title on Sunday (Oct 12) are England's world No. 15 Ben Lane-Sean Vendy.

Lane-Vendy had earlier defeated Choong Hon Jian-Mohd Haikal Nazri 21-16, 25-23 in another semi-final match.

Aaron-Wooi Yik may hold the advantage over Lane-Vendy, having beaten them six times in their past nine meetings, but they know the English pair will be a tough nut to crack.

The 2022 world champions Aaron-Wiooi Yik will be out to claim their fourth title of the year after capturing the Asian Championships, Singapore Open and Thailand Open crowns.

Aaron-Wooi Yik also finished second in the China Open and Malaysian Masters.
