Wooi Yik wants to better uncle’s Olympics feat – but Aaron has bigger plan

Let’s dream big: Aaron Chia (right) and Soh Wooi Yik are capable of a stunner at the Games.

PETALING JAYA: National men’s doubles ace Soh Wooi Yik made his family extremely proud despite falling short with partner Aaron Chia in the final of the All-England two years ago.

That feat has been nothing short of amazing as Wooi Yik, just a debutant then, went a step further than the semi-final outing achieved by his famous uncle Soo Beng Kiang in 1993 and 1994.
