UMAR Osman’s dream was to be a footballer but he never got his kicks after being deemed not good enough to become like his father Osman Mohd Ali.

But not all’s lost without a ball at his feet. As destiny would have it, Umar was more suited for athletics and has gone on to become one of Malaysia’s best prospects in the sport.
