Young sprinters miss out on podium at Asian meet


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s men’s 4x100m relay team produced a spirited performance to finish fifth at the Asian Under-20 Athletics Championships at the National Stadium in Hong Kong.

The Malaysian quartet of Mohd Sayyid Amin Roslan, Danish Irfan Tamrin, Mohd Umaira Subri and Danish Iftikhar Mohd Roslee clocked 39.96s in a fiercely contested final that saw all medal-winning teams separated by just 0.11s.
