I REFER to the reports under the front page headline “Millions lost to leaks” (The Star, Feb 24), highlighting that millions of ringgit in government funds are being lost due to leakages.

Leakages of public funds, whether through mismanagement, weak governance, corruption, inefficiencies or poor enforcement, deprive the rakyat of resources meant for essential services such as healthcare, education, infrastructure and social protection.
