Urgent need to stop e-waste imports

I REFER to the article, “Over 37 tonnes of e-waste seized at Port Klang” (Feb 21, The Star; online at bit.ly/4rzda7R). This is utterly disgusting and shocking.

Over and over again in recent years we have heard of hundreds of container-loads of e-waste illegally imported into our country but so far we have not heard of those responsible being charged for the offence. All we hear is that investigations are ongoing.
