Primary care still key to achieving health for all

WHEN the Malaysian government signed the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1978, it committed to the principles that health is a fundamental human right, and primary care is the key to achieving “Health for All”.

But fast forward to the present and one must ask: “Is our healthcare system still aligned with that noble vision?”
