I REFER to the letter “Issues are still waiting to be resolved” by Rozita Sirat (The Star, March 17) and I concur fully with the writer about the problems Malaysian doctors face.

As correctly and succinctly highlighted by the writer, all candidates who intend to pursue the Parallel Pathway to acquire specialist qualifications from the Royal Colleges in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Scotland are mandated to first register with the Health Ministry’s (MOH) Medical Development Division (MDD).
