THE sorry state of our national healthcare service has been continuously highlighted in the media for some months now.
However, there does not seem to be any urgency in resolving the issues, including the plight of our doctors, specialists, sub-specialists and other allied medical professionals. As a result, many have left or are leaving the civil service in their quest for better remuneration, working conditions and mental well-being.
