RECENTLY, a video of a mysterious sound coming from a condominium utility room went viral on social media.
The video showed the person recording the video investigating where the sound -- akin to a gagged woman crying -- was coming from.
Despite looking around, they failed to spot anyone in the utility room and asked for advice from the residential Facebook group on what course of action to take.

Police have confirmed that no criminal activities were found following their investigation after videos from a condominium utility shaft emitting sounds akin to a gagged woman crying went viral.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shamsudin Mamat said police were aware of the video uploaded online showing a person investigating mysterious sounds emanating from within the room at an apartment here.
"My officers have conducted their checks. All floors had been inspected by the building's security. No suspicious activities had been found.
"The sound was also heard by the security guards and was traced to water pipes.
"It is believed that water pressure caused the peculiar noises," he said when contacted.
On Sunday (Aug 2), a video had been uploaded showing the person recording it opening a door after hearing noises from within.
The person and a few others in the background speculated that the sound came from a trapped person somewhere in the building.
Questions such as "Are you in here?" and "Where are you? Up or down?" were asked, to which the noise coincidentally "replied".
It went viral on social media, with some agreeing that something sinister such as a kidnapping might be taking place, while others brushed it off, saying that it came from the pipes due to water pressure.
Several residents of the condominium were terrified by it, with some associating it with something supernatural.
