Job scams are increasingly exploiting the names, logos and social media presence of well-known companies to appear legitimate.
The latest case involves a TikTok account purportedly offering jobs on behalf of a national rail operator.
Is it true that Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) outsourced its hiring process to a third party?
Verdict:

FALSE
In a statement on Tuesday (Oct 20), KTMB denied appointing any third party to handle its recruitment.
This follows the emergence of a TikTok account, "kerjaya.ktmb", misusing the company's name and logo to offer fake jobs.
The rail operator said the account also attempted to obtain users' personal information.
It advised the public not to disclose personal information through unverified channels.
"KTMB stresses that it has not appointed any third party or created a dedicated social media account to handle recruitment, as claimed by the account.
"KTMB will not hesitate to take legal action against any party found to be involved in fraud, impersonation, misuse of corporate identity or any other unlawful acts," it said.
It added that it was conducting further investigations into the misuse of its name and logo, as well as the dissemination of the fake job offers.
The public is advised to refer to KTMB's official website and its official social media channels for information on career opportunities, recruitment and official announcements.
