Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said police are looking for the man who attempted to take an upskirt video of a woman at a shopping mall in Subang Jaya.
He said police received a report on the incident at 1.16pm on Sunday (March 29).
“Preliminary investigations found that the video had been circulated on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
“Investigations are ongoing to trace and identify the victim and the suspect involved,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (March 31).
The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code, Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
Members of the public are advised not to share the video to protect the victim’s dignity and to avoid disrupting police investigations.
