It was claimed recently that an 11-vehicle crash happened in Johor Bahru involving a lorry-mounted crane and ten other vehicles.

Yes, this is true as the Johor Fire and Rescue Department Operation Centre confirmed receiving a call about the incident at 9.16am.on Monday (Aug 18) about the accident near a seafood restaurant on Jalan Kebun Teh Lama, Taman Abad.
Larkin Fire and Rescue station chief Mohd Suhaimi Abdul Jamal said 13 firemen from the station were deployed to the scene located three kilometres away and arrived at 9.19am.
“The vehicles involved in the incident were a lorry-mounted crane, a pick-up truck, five cars and four motorcycles,” he said in a statement.
“Four riders only suffered minor injuries and were sent to hospital by ambulances belonging to the Health Ministry and St John,” added Mohd Suhaimi, who said that all four were males aged between 28 and 35.
He said those who escaped unhurt were a female driver and six male drivers aged between 30 and 66.
Mohd Suhaimi said the operation ended at 9.48am.
Meanwhile, Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said the incident occurred when the 49-year-old male driver of the lorry-mounted crane failed to stop at the traffic light junction due to faulty brakes.
“This caused the lorry-mounted crane to hit the pick-up truck, the cars and the motorcycles stopping at the junction,” he said.
