A VIDEO capturing school students in a heated brawl has emerged online.

Allegedly filmed behind a popular restaurant in Klang, the footage shows what appears to be secondary school students clashing.

Is it true that this incident was caught on camera?

Verdict:

TRUE

According to Klang Utara OCPD ACP S Vijaya Rao the incident occurred on Monday (June 30) in an alley behind a nasi kandar restaurant on Jalan Meranti Sutera 1/KU10, Meru, Klang.

"No police reports have been received from any party regarding the incident," said S Vijaya Rao.

He added that the police take any form of brawl seriously, especially those involving school students.

Strict action will be taken to ensure public safety and order.

The public is advised not to spread any unsubstantiated speculation or assumptions that could cause anxiety within the community.

"Any action that disturbs public order will be investigated and dealt with according to the law," said the Assistant Commissioner.

He further mentioned that members of the public with information regarding the incident are urged to contact the Meru Police Station at 03-3392 2222 to assist in the investigation.

Earlier, a 22-second video went viral on social media showing the brawl involving several students believed to be from a secondary school in the area.
