Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department deputy chief Supt Suffian Abdullah said a car had crashed into a durian stall on Jalan Mergastua, Kepong Baru after it was believed to have entered the wrong lane.
He said the incident, which occurred at 10.25pm on Saturday (July 25), involved a Toyota Corolla driven by a 29-year-old local man, who was believed to have entered the opposite lane before hitting a Honda City.
Supt Suffian said the impact sent the Toyota Corolla onto the road shoulder and into the stall's tent, reported Sinar Harian.
No injuries were reported involving both drivers or members of the public.
He said further investigations were ongoing, including taking the drivers' statements, obtaining CCTV footage and tracing witnesses.
The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Members of the public with information were urged to assist investigations by contacting the Tun HS Lee Traffic Police Station at 03-2071 9999 or any nearby police station.
