Verdict:

FALSE
The Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry has issued a warning clarifying that its name, logo, and identity are being misused by irresponsible parties to attempt fraudulent collections.
In a statement on Monday (Oct 26), the ministry stressed that any unauthorised use of its official identity does not imply approval or involvement by the ministry in such transactions.
"All official dealings must be conducted through the channels and procedures established by the Ministry," the ministry stated, adding that it views the matter seriously and remains committed to protecting the public and industry players from fraud.
Members of the public and industry stakeholders are advised to verify any suspicious communications before making payments or taking action.
For enquiries or verification regarding official transactions, the public can contact Mosti’s Procurement Section (Finance Division) at 03-8885 8164 / 8072 / 8373 / 8506 / 8208.
