FAKE social media pages disguised as official government pages have been on the rise and are alarming.

This has resulted in many people being deceived by the many promises of government services including that of financial services too.

Recently, a Facebook page, “E-Wallet Information Malaysia 2024” has been posting matters related to government ewallet services using the Malaysia Madani loge as its profile picture under the purview of the Finance Ministry.

Is this true?

The Finance Ministry in a statement has clarified that the Facebook page, “E-Wallet Information Malaysia 2024” is fake, although the page itself is still up and running on the social media platform.

With that, the ministry has advised the public to be cautious and not be deceived by such news.

The public has been urged to visit the portal and follow the official social media channels of the Finance Ministry for the latest and most accurate information.

The ministry has further advised the public to not share any posts from the page.
