A 44-second video that surfaced on Facebook showing several motorcyclists performing wheelie stunts on major Kuala Lumpur roads in the dead of night has been making the rounds online.
What made it particularly eyebrow-raising was that several of the riders were not alone, with pillion riders holding on behind them as the stunts were performed.

The incident took place at approximately 3.30am on May 23 along Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan P. Ramlee in Kuala Lumpur.
The 44-second video of the stunt surfaced on Facebook on May 31 before spreading widely online.
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday (June 2).
"Initial investigations found that several motorcyclists were performing dangerous wheelie stunts with pillion riders on public roads, endangering both themselves and other road users," ACP Mohd Zamzuri said.
Four individuals were subsequently detained in connection with the incident, including a 20-year-old man and his 16-year-old girlfriend who was riding pillion, as well as two male motorcyclists aged 17 and 16, accompanied by two female pillion riders aged 18 and 15.
Mohd Zamzuri confirmed that those arrested in the second operation were friends and that all were believed to have been involved in the viral video.
Statements had been recorded from all those involved and further investigations were ongoing.
The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous riding.
