Did a few robbers fail to rob a goldsmith shop in Klang recently?

Police are tracking down a group of men involved in an attempted robbery at a goldsmith shop along Jalan Tengku Kelana here on Thursday (Aug 20).
Klang Selatan deputy OCPD Supt Kamalariffin Aman Shah said the incident occurred at about 10.30am.
“The Criminal Investigation Division of the Klang Selatan district police headquarters has opened an investigation paper under Section 394 of the Penal Code for causing hurt during an attempted gang robbery.
“The case is also being investigated under Section 4 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971 for displaying a firearm during an attempted robbery,” he said in a statement on Thursday.
He urged members of the public with information on the case to come forward to assist investigations.
Information can be channelled to the investigating officer, Insp Mohamad Sulaimi Alawi @ Shaari, at 014-5719405, the Klang Selatan district police headquarters operations room at 03-33762222 or any nearby police station.
Earlier, a video of the incident went viral, showing two helmeted men attempting to smash a glass jewellery display case, believed to be using sledgehammers.
Two other men were seen waiting outside the premises on motorcycles.
The four men then fled the scene shortly after failing to break through the glass.
