SOCIAL media is rife claims from people and "companies” saying that they will help Employee Provident Fund (EPF) account holders withdraw up to RM10,000 under its recently announced special withdrawal scheme.
Has EPF selected any third parties to help with the programme?

EPF has categorically denied that it is working with any third party to process applications for the special withdrawal programme.
In a Facebook post on Thursday (March 17), EPF warned the public to beware of such claims and not to click on these links.
It added that no third party had been appointed to manage applications for withdrawals.
EPF included a screenshot of a tweet urging users to click on a link to a fake website if they want to apply for the special withdrawal.
On Wednesday (March 16), EPF announced that members would be able to apply to withdraw up to RM10,000 of their savings under its special withdrawal scheme from April 1 to 30, with payouts expected to start on April 20.
EPF also said it would provide details on how to apply for the withdrawal soon.
