Applications for RM10,000 EPF withdrawal start April 1, payouts from April 20

KUALA LUMPUR: EPF members can start applying for the special withdrawal facility of RM10,000 from April 1, with payouts to start from April 20.

In a brief statement, EPF said that applications would open to members below the age of 55 from April 1 to 30.

“Payouts will start on April 20,” it said.

Members will be allowed to withdraw a maximum amount of RM10,000 and a minimum of RM50.

“They must fully utilise their savings balance in Account 2 first before accessing their Account 1,” it said.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz said, in a Facebook post earlier Wednesday (March 16), that he had just discussed the special withdrawal with EPF representatives.

"They will ensure that the special withdrawal process will be straightforward and go through as smoothly as possible," he said.
