KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional's negotiations for cooperation in the Melaka state election are "almost at 100%", says Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.
Without naming any parties or coalitions, the Perikatan secretary-general said discussions on seat allocations were also ongoing.
"We have discussed this internally, pertaining to the necessary preparations," he told a press conference at the Parliament media centre here on Thursday (Oct 15).
"We will be together with our partners for the battle in Melaka.
"Progress is almost at 100%."
Asked if Perikatan would use its own logo in the polls, in light of the Registrar of Societies' (ROS) suspension order on the coalition’s activities, Takiyuddin said there are always alternatives in any challenge.

"The first option is to contest under Perikatan. But if this is not possible, there are other alternatives that cannot be revealed yet.
"Or else, our strategies would become a tragedy," he quipped.
He said the hearing for an inter-parte stay application on the suspension order is scheduled for Oct 22.
"Regardless, all parties under Perikatan’s banner will field candidates in Melaka," he said.
Nomination Day is on Oct 31 while polling day is set for Nov 14.
