SEREMBAN: Five students have informed the police that they had been bullied by the first suspect detained over the death of a Form Two male student in Kuala Pilah last Friday.
Negri Sembilan police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the matter came to light as a result of further investigations into the 69 witness statements recorded so far.
“From the interrogations and the recording of statements, five students claimed they had been bullied by the first suspect who was detained to assist in the case.
“So far, no new arrests have been made apart from the two male suspects, both aged 16, who are currently remanded until Oct 1 and 3, respectively, to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code,” he told reporters yesterday.
DCP Alzafny also disclosed that investigations found that the victim had never informed his family that he had been bullied at school, Bernama reported.
The media reported that police had detained another 16-year-old male student on Tuesday in the investigation into the Form Two student’s death.
The first suspect, a Form Four student, had earlier been remanded for six days under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
On Sept 25, a Form Two student was injured in an incident at a school in Kuala Pilah. He later died at Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah.
