KULAI: A 17-year-old secondary school student was killed on the spot when his motorcycle rammed into the side of a car during an accident along Jalan Felda Inas here at 12.30am on Friday (Sept 25).
Kulai OCPD Asst Comm Tan Seng Lee said that the car driver, 51, has since been sent to the hospital for treatment.
He added that the car was travelling from Bandar Tenggara to Kulai when the driver suddenly swerved his vehicle to the right which resulted in the motorcyclist, who was on the same lane, unable to avoid the car resulting in the machine ramming the side of the vehicle.
“The student sustained serious head injuries and died on the spot,”ACP Tan said, adding that police were investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
