PETALING JAYA: The Election Commission (EC) will hold a special meeting on Oct 7 to decide key dates for the 16th Melaka state election following the dissolution of the state assembly.
In a statement on Friday (Sept 25), the commission said EC chairman Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun will chair a meeting to discuss the election writ, nomination day, polling day and the electoral roll to be used, among other preparations.
The commission added that it would hold a media conference immediately after the special meeting.
The Melaka state assembly was dissolved on Wednesday, paving the way for the state election.
