KUANTAN: A policeman suffered head and body injuries in an alleged assault by two Myanmar men who were reprimanded for making noise in Kampung Pamah Kulat, Raub, early Friday (Sept 25).
Acting Pahang police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Azry Akmar Ayob said the two suspects, aged 26 and 30, were detained following the incident at about 2.45am.
He said the policeman went to the scene after area residents complained that the suspects, believed to be drunk, were playing loud music by the roadside.
"The policeman reprimanded the suspects ... (who then) assaulted him," he said in a statement.
He said the case is being investigated under Section 353 of the Penal Code for using criminal force against a public servant. – Bernama
