Segamat tea gathering leads to RM15.85mil Da Ma Cai Jackpot win for four friends

PETALING JAYA: Four business partners won the RM15.85mil Da Ma Cai 1+3D Jackpot 1 after purchasing a ticket on a whim during a tea gathering in Buloh Kasap, Segamat.

The group had been discussing the financial plight of a local home for persons with disabilities right before noticing a Da Ma Cai outlet next to the coffee shop where they met.

After pooling their money for a ticket, one partner scanned the numbers on the dmcGO app following the Sunday (Sept 13) draw, discovering they had won the main prize.

In a statement on Friday (Sept 25), the company said that the winners, who claimed their prize at the Da Ma Cai Head Office, agreed to split the windfall equally.

Alongside securing their personal financial stability and retirement, the group confirmed they are allocating a portion of the funds to support the struggling disabled center, covering its immediate operational costs and upgrading resident facilities.

The same Sept 13 draw also saw a second 1+3D Jackpot 1 winner take home RM268,657, a sole 3D Jackpot winner claim over RM890,000, and multiple winners share the 1+3D Jackpot 2 prize of roughly RM100,000.
