STUDENTS of the My Rhythm music school got to experience their first professional studio session while recording their new single, Malaysia Nanban reported.
The students, along with the school’s founder and teacher Meera Shree, laid down the vocal tracks for the Isaiye Nee album at the DhilipVarman Production recording studio in Penang.
Meera, who wrote the lyrics and composed the music for the album, said there were two sessions in the studio with a total of 20 students contributing their vocals.
The students were from Kuala Lumpur, Seremban, Penang, Perak and Kedah, with some from Singapore.
Singer, lyricist and producer Kalaimamani Dhilip Varman guided the students through the recording process, offering advice and helping them gain confidence in a professional studio environment.
The album will be released on digital platforms in September, Meera said.
