A WOMAN was criticised online for allegedly stealing someone’s flower pot despite driving a luxury car, reported China Press.
The incident is believed to have taken place at 7.30pm on Aug 23 at Bandar Sunway near a mosque.
CCTV footage, which was uploaded onto a Facebook group, showed a woman picking up an object from the roadside and placing it in the back seat of a black Toyota Harrier SUV and driving off. There was a child in the car with her.
The uploader shared screencaps of a potted plant on the ground which disappeared just moments later, leading to suspicion that the woman had stolen it.
“You can afford to drive a nice car, but you can’t afford to buy a flower pot?”
The uploader also pointed out that the vehicle had a two-digit registration number, implying that the owner was rich enough to bid for an expensive number plate.
The daily contacted Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, but has yet to receive a response on the incident at press time.

Footage of the incident showed hotpot ingredients including meat and vegetables neatly arranged on a conveyor belt at what appears to be a self-service hotpot restaurant.
However, on one of the trays sat a large rat in a belly-up position with its tail hanging over the edge.
Shocked diners were seen taking out their phones to record the bizarre sight.
The incident was believed to have taken place in a restaurant at the Songjiang Wanda Plaza on Aug 23.
A staff member working there confirmed the incident and said they suspect that renovation work nearby may have led to a rodent problem.
The restaurant later said it activated its emergency response procedures, discarded all food and closed the outlet down for two days for deep cleaning.
All customers who dined during the period were given refunds and a pest-control company was hired to inspect the premises.
