MALAYSIAN student Mishalene Vijayakumar emerged overall champion in the TE2 category at the TeenEagle English Global Finals 2026 in Britain, Malaysia Nanban reported.
The SMK Seri Bintang Selatan student beat participants from around the world in debate, public speaking, creative communication, writing and quick-fire quiz rounds to secure the title and gold medal.
She qualified for the finals through the TeenEagle Online Qualifiers.
Mishalene also showcased her classical Indian Kathak skills in the competition’s Talent Show, finishing third.
She received her TE2 Overall Champion title and prize at St Edward’s School in Oxford.
> Passengers on an overnight bus in Tamil Nadu were shocked to find an elderly man dead in his seat, Malaysia Nanban reported.
The man, identified as Shaji Krishnan from Kerala, had boarded the bus near Ooty to travel to Nagercoil. He was found unresponsive at the back of the bus when the lights were switched on.
The conductor alerted the police, who recovered the body for a post-mortem.
