PETALING JAYA: Rapid KL detains a suspect for trespassing on the track area at Jalan Meru Station, causing a temporary service disruption.
Operations personnel and Auxiliary Police officers detected and arrested the suspect following the 6.15 am incident. The suspect was handed over to the Police and taken to Bandar Baru Klang Police Station for further action. Rapid KL, in a statement on Tuesday (July 21), said it will fully cooperate with police investigations.
Train services were temporarily halted between Jalan Meru Station and Jambatan Kota Station for 30 minutes to allow enforcement actions and safety checks. Service resumed once the track area was confirmed safe for operations.
Rapid KL apologised for the inconvenience caused by the disruption. The company advised the public against trespassing on track areas due to legal violations and safety risks, urging passengers to report suspicious activity to station staff or Auxiliary Police.
