PORT DICKSON: Caretaker Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun (pic) will face a three-cornered fight for the Linggi seat in the Negri Sembilan state assembly.

The state Pakatan Harapan chief will face the incumbent, Datuk Faizal Ramli of Barisan Nasional and Bersatu's Datuk Zamri Md Said.

Aminuddin, who previously held the Sikamat state seat for almost two decades, said his decision to contest in Linggi was to help Pakatan gain more seats and secure a stronger mandate to lead the state.

During the 2023 state polls, Barisan's Faizal won the seat with a majority of 1,461 votes.
