PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating all possible angles in the assault on local YouTube content creator and football commentator Azizurrahman Zakaria, who was attacked by two men at a petrol station near Bandar Sri Damansara on Saturday (July 11).
Azizurrahman is better known as Joe Zakaria, the creator behind the YTSK channel.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shamsudin Mamat said investigators are reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, dashboard camera recordings and witness statements to identify the suspects and establish the motive.
"We are investigating the case from all angles, including examining CCTV and dash cam footage, as well as recording statements from witnesses who may assist in the investigation. The motive is still under investigation," he said in a statement on Tuesday (July 14).
It was previously reported that Joe Zakaria was attacked by two unidentified men while at the petrol station.
The victim suffered a fractured eye socket and several other injuries in the assault.
Asst Comm Shamsudin said efforts to track down the two suspects are ongoing.
The case is being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
Azizurrahman is known for producing content on football jerseys and boots, as well as sharing his views on local football.
The channel currently has about 10,900 subscribers and more than 150 videos.
