A YOUNG man in India who was missing for three years was found not only to have been murdered by his own father but was also dismembered by him.
The father, Venthar Bala, was told that his life was in danger after a soothsayer read his jathagam (horoscope), Makkal Osai reported.
Venthar, 50, from Tamil Nadu, had three wives and several children. In 2023, Srikant, his eldest son from his first wife, confronted Venthar for failing to look after his mother and siblings.
Srikanth, 20, suddenly went missing later that year, leading his mother to lodge a police report.
Subsequent investigations revealed that Venthar had killed his son with the help of two accomplices after a soothsayer said his life was in danger.
They strangled the victim before cutting his body into pieces and dumping them in a nearby river.
The shocking events came to light after police investigated the second accomplice named Alex Pandian, 25, who had prior enmity with the victim and was roped by Venthar to commit the crime.
